Re-create Your Life By Gaining Control of Your Day

recreate your life 2015 pic www.drsuechicago.com jpeg image“I just read a wonderful article on how to gain control of your time by Ron Carson and Steve Sanduski”, says Dr. Sue. The authors outlined seven key points that we should follow:

  • We all have 24 hours a day – so stop saying you do not have enough time!
  • Discover what’s most important to you.
  • Focus on the outcome that you would love to see happen.
  • Spend your time on the right activities.
  • Reduce your stress and workload by constantly focusing on your mission statement.
  • Write down the six most important things that you must complete today – focus and accomplish them one right after the other.

The authors then end with a quote by Peter Drucker: “Efficiency is doing things right, while effectiveness is doing the right things.”

I just love this article!

“The Less Routine The More Life”

On this beautiful August morning, I can not but help to think about Amos Bronson Alcott’s saying “The Less Routine The More Life”. Has your life become routine, boring and full of monotony?

Are you on the same schedule day after day, week after week?

Perhaps this Re-create Your Life blog will touch you in a special way…

Re-create Your Life

“The less routine the more life” by Amos Bronson Alcott.

Thinking about retiring, slowing down or just making a change? Author Amos Bronson Alcott, born in 1799 was a teacher, mystic writer and the father of Louisa May Alcott.

I love the way he writes … with such wisdom… the less routine, the more life. Let’s take a minute to think about what we do everyday and how we fill up our time with mindless, routine matters  that take up all of our time.

No wonder we constantly question, “why is the week, the month, or the year going by so fast”?

This is motivating me to question how I spend my days and what might need to be cut out.

Are you too busy?

Is your life shaping up as planned?

What kind of changes do you need to make in order to get to where you want to…

Re-creating your life starts with changing your mindset!

Dr. Caroline Leaf  has researched and studied the human brain since 1981. Her books include, “Your Body, His Temple”, and “Who Switched Off My Brain”.

Do you want to change in 2015 and give your mind a fresh start?

Dr. Sue believes, “according to 1 Corinthians 2:16 but we have the mind of Christ…and we can reject toxic, negative thoughts and focus on things that are good”.
